Fishing Report April 12, 2014

Despite a mix bag of weather these past few weeks we have been concentrating our efforts along Willow & Shelter point, the last half of the flood tide into slack has been the most productive. The fish are in the 12 – 15lb range with several reports of fish into the 20 plus range fishing between 150 – 200ft of water down 120 – 160ft with cut plug herring or anchovies & dummy flashers working best for us, 4′ Tomic plugs #500, 639 also working very well. This is also time of year the inlet fishing picks up. As for the prawning it has been decent along the back side of Quadra Island and over to Cortez.
